Today, we gathered in the spirit of reflection, respect, and unity as we marked National Reconciliation Week. As part of our commemoration, we were honoured to begin with a smoking ceremony. This sacred tradition invited us to pause, acknowledge Country, and cleanse our hearts and minds as we walk together toward healing and understanding. We also joined together in prayer, asking God to guide us in the journey of reconciliation—seeking justice, truth, and peace, and recognising the deep wisdom and spirituality of our First Nations peoples. Thank you to our Year 4 students who led us in this special prayer.

We're excited to share that Loose Parts Play is now available for our primary students as part of their playground experience. So, what is Loose Parts Play? it's a creative and open-ended approach to play where students use a variety of everyday materials to build, imagine, explore, and invent. This type of play: -encourages creativity and problem-solving -builds collaboration and communication skills -supports physical and social development -allows students to take risks in a safe, supported environment -reflects our belief in the dignity and potential of every child While students are free to explore and create, they are still expected to follow our school expectations and show respect for others, and the materials. A staff member is always present to supervise, support and join in the fun-helping to guide play, encourage teamwork, and ensure safety. We can't wait to see what our primary students will imagine, build, and discover through this enriching play experience.
