On Friday the 10th August our school's Faith Alive Team participated in the Winter Sleep-Out in support of the St. Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal.
Vinnies Sleepouts provide a glimpse into the realities of homelessness by ‘sleeping rough’ for a night to raise awareness and funds for Vinnies homelessness services. This experience challenged our students' sense of home and offers unique insights into the complex issues faced by people experiencing homelessness.
The aim of the night was to help raise awareness of poverty in our community and give our students the chance to work towards a more just and compassionate society. We were thrilled to have a fantastic turn out with around 40 students in attendance.
The students participated in a number of faith based activities which included the packing of all the donations received by the whole school.
Thank you for the generosity all our St Josephs families have shown for such a valuable cause.

During the term our Year 5 students were busy bringing their creativity to life! As part of their writing, they learned how to write play scripts and then designed and crafted puppets to represent the characters in their stories. With excitement and teamwork, they rehearsed and performed their plays — and our Kindergarten students were the delighted audience! It was a wonderful way for our Year 5s to share their learning, storytelling, and imagination, while giving our Kindy students a taste of the magic of performance.26 Sep 2025

Year two have been writing procedures and what better way to test their accuracy than by following the procedures ourselves! 📝 We spent Tuesday morning conducting a range of procedures and we were all rewarded by getting to snack on what we produced.👩🏼🍳👨🏻🌾
